Liquid Crystal Display
|
A Liquid Crystal Display uses the light polarization properties of liquid crystals in an electric field to form images on a screen. LCDs use various construction variations to maximize the visual appearance of data. Some versions use Twisted Nematic Displays (TND), Thin Film Transistors (TFT), and colour filters.
• One of ADAM's two screen variants uses a 10.1 inch, 16:9 format, colour TFT-LCD panel (while the other uses a 10.1 inch, 16:9 format, colour Pixel Qi transflective sunlight readable display).

Linux operating system
|
Linux (pronunciation) refers to the family of Unix-like computer operating systems using the Linux kernel. Linux can be installed on a wide variety of computer hardware, ranging from mobile phones, tablet computers and video game consoles, to mainframes and supercomputers. Linux is free, open source, community-developed, reliable, and secure, and therefore often preferred to Windows, which isn’t.
• ADAM’s Android OS has Linux at its core.
