PREFACE

This website strives to concentrate the best intelligence of the global Notion Ink community regarding the Indian technology start-up enterprise Notion Ink and its products, beginning with the ADAM mobile tablet computer. If you have a question about Notion Ink or ADAM, we hope you’ll either find an answer here, or find it in an UNANSWERED section, which means the answer isn’t in the public domain yet (as far a we know).

 

STRUCTURE

This Notion Ink – Frequently Asked Questions Wiki is currently divided into eight sections, as  follows.

 

 SECTION   CONTENTS
1 – NOTION INK, COMPANY and COMMUNITY  The Notion Ink enterprise and the community which its existence has brought into being
2 – ADAM HARDWARE    ADAM's hardware: the physical “nuts and bolts”
3 – EDEN (UI) and SOFTWARE    ADAM's software: the programming side-o-things, including the Eden User Interface and Application Programs
4 – PRE-ORDERS, LAUNCH and ORDERING    Getting ADAMs into the eager hands of end users
5 – WARRANTY and REPAIR    When ADAM goes wrong, and getting it put right again
6 – THIRD-PARTY GEAR    Third-party apps, hardware, and accessories
7 – NI FAQ ADMINISTRATION    Enhancing, expanding and maintaining this very NI FAQ Wiki

 

NAVIGATION

There are a number of aids to help you find your way around the Wiki.

 

Searching

You’ll find a ‘Search this workspace’ Box in the top right corner of every page. As you type, page titles and uploaded files containing your search string drop down; if there are none, then an ‘or look in page content for: [YourSearchString]’ link appears. If required, you can also use you browsers ‘Find...’ function (usually on the keyboard shortcut ^F or cmd-F) to locate all the occurrences of your search string on a Wiki page.

 

Browsing

Three navigational aids are always on hand to help you navigate the Wiki's content.

 

Tables of Contents

  • On the NI FAQ Front Page you’ll find a 'Whole Wiki' Table of Contents, with links to the most important pages.
    • On Section Title pages like 1 – NOTION INK, COMPANY and COMMUNITY you'll find a Page Index section at the top, with links to all the pages in that Section.
      • On each Wiki page, such as 2a – All About ADAM, you'll most likely find a Table of Contents at the top, with links to that pages Questions and Headings (unless the page is very short).

 

Sidebar

On the right hand hand side you’ll find a ‘Sidebar’ zone, with links to all the Wiki pages, alongside of which there’s also a ‘Navigator’ zone, and a ‘Recent Activity’ zone.

 

Footer

At the foot of each page, there’s a nav-aids box, with links to:
